Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation

Lancome teint idole ultra

I’m always switching up my foundations and I usually lean towards high end. It’s been years since I’ve used a Lancome foundation and Teint Idole Ultra sounded good to me. With the help of makeupalley.com I was able to choose the colour 140 Ivory N. I’m normally a warm not a neutral shade but 160 W was too dark. I think this is a great match for me and their colour selection gives women many options. I specially like the cool, neutral and warm undertones.

For the typical 1 oz, the price is $44 USD which is standard for most high end foundations. It’s actually cheaper than my Chanel foundations.

Left to Right: No makeup, Lancome foundation alone, Full face of makeup including MUFE duo mat powder used lightly.

I find this foundation to be long wearing,  looks natural, and has buildable coverage. I don’t need to powder but to help minimise shine I usually do. The foundation has a nice satin finish that you can see in the middle picture. This foundation covers my redness very well and I only used one pump for my entire face. In the last photo you can still see some blemishes and freckles but I didn’t use concealer to show the coverage of the foundation alone.

Now it’s summer in Sydney so my skin is on the oily side. When I wear a moisturizer, or SPF under this foundation my t-zone gets extremely oily. I have to blot every couple of hours and the foundation seems to separate. Now you may be thinking the culprit is the SPF or moisturizer I use underneath but when I combine them with other foundations this doesn’t happen. So for me to use this in the summer I need to wear this alone. But it may be my perfect spring/ fall/ winter foundation. I’ll keep you posted how it works in the cooler months.

Overall I really like this foundation. I do have to be cautious what I pair under it, but generally it gives me the coverage and staying power I like. I am very pleased with Teint Idole Ultra and would repurchase.
